My Experiences

For over three years, I have been working with my mother as an educator at a summer camp runned by my previous church. I was helping out the toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners. I had children of my own and had to plan activities they will all enjoy. I worked hard to engage with the children and made sure everybody was safe.

For two years since 2018, I have been volunteering at the Youth Kosta Toronto as a staff. Youth Kosta Toronto is a one-week camp for students from grades 5 to 13 where Korean Christian children living in Canada come all together in one place to meet one another. This camp opens during March break, and I was the one who would help the children to find ways and help them with their needs as I stay with them.
However, due to COVID-19, we have not been opening the camp for two years now.

I have been volunteering at the tower from 2014 to 2018. It opened every Fridays from 6 pm to 9. I worked as an educator in the toddler's room. We had art time, playtime, and snack time. I have been placed on all three of the places depending on how many children were there.

Before starting my second year of university, I started working at two different Kumon centers. Here, I have been working with Junior children and helping them improve their English and math skills, as well as toddlers' gross motor skills (e.g. helping them hold a pencil). I read stories with both younger and older children as well.
However, due to COVID-19, I haven't been working since April 2020.
