About Me
My name is Yerim (Esther) Kim, and I am a graduate of the Early Childhood Studies program of Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly known as Ryerson University. From a very young age, I enjoyed spending time with children. I enjoyed seeing the children grow exceedingly as they develop greatly in different domains and learn different types of skills to experience the world around them. I have babysat my cousins and neighbours from an early age and volunteered to work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at churches and summer camps since middle school. I was surprised at how the children absorbed information so quickly and profoundly and wanted to explore more on those developments. My mom was also an early childhood educator, therefore, absorbed some of her knowledge before attending TMU. It was hard and tiring taking care of many children, but I always enjoyed the time being spent with them.
